Event moderation

As master of ceremony and moderator, I bring my full presence and energy to your event, hold space for others to shine and create connection between the speakers and the audience with the intention of fostering mutual understanding.

I make sure, we run through the programme smoothly and on time. I moderate European-level events in English and German, preferably, but not exclusively in Brussels.

I focus on events with topics close to my heart and my previous work areas, namely, European cooperation, higher education, research and innovation policy and gender equality. Given my 15 years of work experience in these fields in different roles, I bring not only my moderation skills to your event, but also my background knowledge of the sector, the stakeholders, decision-makers and related polices.

I believe, for advancing European cooperation, we need first and foremost, real human connection, also in policy debates and events. We need to listen to each other at a deeper level and be curious about other perspectives. This requires openness from all in the arena to go beyond pre-written speaking points and official positions and engage in real authentic dialogue. That is not always easy in a fast-paced political environment, but it makes for more inspiring and interesting events and eventually also higher impact. As moderator, I contribute to creating conditions that allow speakers and panellists to feel comfortable and safe in engaging in such conversations.
